PS : Anyway I would like to apologize for the lack of post lately. Have been busy flying these few weeks and am preparing for my upcoming flight test. Also last weekend, I went back to my hometown and whenever I am back, I try to stay away from my computer as much as possible. And this week has been a horrible week for me. >.<
Kagami & Haruhi Wishes You….

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival~~!!
Both of them wants to share with you that cute little mini moon cake. Any takers? *raises both hands* >.<
Anyway, here are some of the activities that you can do during the Mid-Autumn Festival :
- Eating mooncakes outside under the moon
- Putting pomelo rinds on one’s head
- Carrying brightly lit lanterns, lighting lanterns on towers, floating sky lanterns
- Burning incense in reverence to deities including Chang’e (simplified Chinese: 嫦娥; traditional Chinese: 嫦娥; pinyin: cháng’é)
- Planting Mid-Autumn trees
- Collecting dandelion leaves and distributing them evenly among family members
- Fire Dragon Dances

So what are you doing to celebrate? For me, I guess I will munch down that mini moon cake in front of my laptop screen. I do wish I could share that moon cake with my loved ones while enjoying the moonlight together. But I am 600km away from home and going outside over here is not a good idea because aside from munching down the moon cake, I will also be ‘donating blood’, if you get what I mean. ^^,

Was at the Kuala Terengganu bus terminal last Friday and was craving for some Chicken McNuggets, so I paid a visit to the McDonald’s near the bus terminal.
But what that greets me wasn’t the usual colorful McDonald’s restaurant table but this….
Apparently McDonald is adapting the new Mamak style theme. ^^,

Random Photos – Kitty Love
Published August 23, 2009 Life & Everything Else 4 CommentsTags: Cats, Life, Love, Randoms, Reminiscence
Just some random shots I took at the Hangar. ^^,
Was going to the washroom when I saw this two really cute cats sleeping. Went back to the crew room and took my camera.
Its a beautiful afternoon and to see them cuddling each other falling to sleep is just sweet. Mmmmm, such a warm feeling.
Looking at this two cats, I wonder, in our very busy lives, when was the last time we showed love to those who are really important to us?
How many times have we told them that we still care and that they really mean a lot to us?
A lot of us tend to take things for granted. We assume that everything is ok. Everything is fine
But in my opinion, it is this small small little words and actions that are the most important.
Life is short. Appreciate those who are important to you.
Looking at this two cats, it really reminds me of a lot of stuff. I just felt a very warm feeling inside of me when I saw them.
It is just beautiful.
Facial Expression
Published August 16, 2009 Life & Everything Else 2 CommentsTags: BBC, Cultures, Eastern Asian, Facial Expression, Western
Discovered yet another interesting article while surfing. ^^,
A team from Glasgow University carried out a research that suggests that people from different cultures read facial expressions differently and this study also challenges the idea that facial expressions are universally understood. >.<
The study concluded that East Asian participants in the study focused mostly on the eyes, but those from the West scanned the whole face. >.< and because of that, East Asians were more likely than Westerners to read the expression for “fear” as “surprise”, and “disgust” as “anger”.
Also, this is not all. Apparently, this is also evident in the emoticons used online. ^^,
| Emotion | West | East |
|---|---|---|
| ‘Happy’ | :- ) | (^_^) |
| ‘Sad’ | :- ( | (;_;) or (T_T) |
| ‘Surprise’ | :- o | (o.o) |
As you can see, the Eastern emoticon is not only the right way up, but also focuses mainly on the eyes while for the West, the focus is mainly on the mouth.
Most text are copy and pasted via BBC
After reading this article, 2 things popped into my mind. First is that notice the emoticons I used in my post? All focuses on the eye. >.< And secondly, for the ladies, this explains why sometimes your partner might ‘misread’ you because he was simply not seeing the big picture. ^^,
